Places of Interest
There are numerous places of interest and activities in the area for adults and children of all ages, including:- Roskillys Ice Cream & Organic Farm The Goonhilly Satellite Earth Station Experience The Mediterranean-like south coast of Cornwall and in particular the Helford Estuary is well known for its sub-tropical climate and the internationally renowned gardens of Trebah Gardens and Glendurgan Gardens are within 1 mile. Flights to the fabulous Scilly Isles can be arranged from Penzance Heliport, Lands End Airport or Newquay Cornwall Airport or cruise there on the Scillonian that sails from Penzance Quay.
Sporting Activities
There are numerous sandy beaches and coves between the estate and Falmouth. Your own boat, dinghy, rib or jet-ski can be moored at our quay and between Easter and the end of October complimentary use of a motor boat is provided. Additional motor boat rental is also available. We have our own slipway for launching dinghy’s and ribs and for larger, trailered boats and jet-skis, there is a public slipway in nearby Port Navas. Golf is available (chargeable) at the adjacent hotel (18-hole, 5255 yards, par 68) and the nearby Falmouth Golf Club (18-hole, 5860 yards, par 70). Tennis is also available (chargeable) at the adjacent hotel. There is a superb local network of footpaths including the stunning South West Coast Path National Trail. Excellent fishing is available from our quay or from a boat and the creek is often full of Sea Bass. Cornwall is a major world surfing destination and the Atlantic beaches at Newquay and Perranporth are within easy reach. Deep sea fishing and whale/dolphin watching trips can also be arranged.
